Finally, the real work begins

Well, it tried to snow day us again, but it's not too bad, so we're on.

In about 15 minutes or so, we'll start digging through the slushpile looking for stories to print in Tringulation: End of the Rainbow. If you've submitted and were wondering when we'll be getting back to you, there's about a 50% chance you'll get a response today. That's because there are 70 stories in the slushpile, and past experience says that we can get through about 30 in a sitting.

This year, I'll be using twitter to give live updates as we work. We'll see how that works out, as I'm kinda new to this whole tweetering thing.

We'll also be doing a podcast at the end of the session. The hope is that we'll be able to give writers some advice on what they need to do to get their stories up to the level we're looking for. I'll post a link as soon as it's ready, but I expect it will be sometime tomorrow before I finish the prep for the mp3 file and post it.

So, things are about to get interesting. I'm excited about getting into this stage of the work.
