All servers that appear as part of the potentialtech.com domain are owned and managed by Bill Moran.

The short, non-techie explanation is this: I bought and paid for these servers out my own money. I pay for the Internet hosting with my own money. If you wish to use this server, you agree to follow my rules. If you do not follow my rules, I may blacklist you, badmouth you publicly for your actions, and even bring legal action against you if I think it's worthwhile. You have no right to privacy on this system. If you don't like these terms, don't use my service. In case it is confusing in any way, emailing me uses this server, and is therefore bound by these rules.

Content on this site may not be appropriate for all users. If you don't like what you see or read, feel free to disconnect. If you are a parent, I need to make it clear that, in my opinion, if your child is old enough to read, there is no inappropriate material. It's likely that you disagree with this, in which case feel free to block your children from accessing my site. I will not make any attempt to rate, or otherwise categorize my content in order to assist you in making that decision, as it would constitute me trying to figure out what you think is and is not approprite. They're your kids and your moral views, enforce them yourself.

I do considerable monitoring of this system. By using it, you consent to such monitoring. In the event that I feel malicious activity is occurring, I will use the collected information to protect my investment, and it will be passed on to the appropriate authorities and/or made publicly available. Your use of this system indicates consent of the aforementioned. To make this clear, I collect and log everything about your computer that I possibly can. Additionally, I may, at times, actively gather information about your computer and/or person by all means legal in my jurisdiction. By using my service, you consent to such information gathering.

The initiation of any network traffic to this system, whether intentional or not, constitutes use of the system. This includes, but is not limited to all IP protocols, such as HTTP, SMTP, and ICMP.

By using this service, you consent that you are responsible for your computer and its activities. I expect you to keep your system clean of viruses, worms, and other malicious software. By allowing your computer system or systems to contact my systems, you agree that any malicious activity is your responsibility, whether you are knowledgeable of it or not.

The use of automated systems to gather information from my systems is permitted, so long as it does not violate any of the other terms of service, and does not cause me undue hardship or violate my copyrights.

If you send me email, you are granting me the unrestricted right to use the contents of that email however I see fit, unless otherwise agreed in writing beforehand. You have no rights to the privacy of any email that you send me. If I feel the need, I will forward emails to authorities or make their contents publicly available. By sending me email you consent to this policy and agree that it overrides any disclaimers or policies that may exist elsewhere.

Any attempt to bypass any security measure on this system is prohibited. This includes "white hat" attacks. If you wish to engage in "white hat" activities on this server, get my written permission first, nothing else, including verbal agreements, is acceptable (especially if I've been drinking).

Harassing email is prohibited. Unsolicited Commercial email is prohibited. Adding me to mailing lists without my prior consent is prohibited. If you violate my guidelines, you agree to pay me for any time I have to spend cleaning up your junk. My rate is $120/hour, and minimum billing is one hour.

I reserve the right to reject any network traffic I choose. If you feel that your network traffic is being rejected unjustly, your sole recourse it to pay my hourly rate to investigate. Payment is due even if my investigation reveals that you will continue to be rejected.

This system runs many detection systems that may automatically reject your network traffic if it looks dangerous. I reserve the right, at my sole discretion, to waive payment if I feel you've been unjustly accused.
