Why you should pledge to Bursts of Light
My best friend, Jamie Lackey, recently launched her Bursts of Light Kickstarter. She's looking for funding to compile a fiction anthology.
Kickstarter is a great program because it's basically risk-free. If you like the project, you pledge. If the project doesn't get enough money, you are never billed. If the project is funded, then you get the stated reward. Thus, if it's a project for something you want, there's absolutely no reason not to pledge.
I've known Jamie for quite a while. She's a talented author, but she's also a skillful editor, and she's driven. It'll be a huge disappointment to me if her project isn't funded, because the world will be a better place if Jamie is allowed to work on projects like this. She has all the knowledge and skills required to pull this thing off, she just needs the money. It's not like she's asking for hand outs, the rewards are pretty sweet!
I worked with her on last year's Triangulation (as well as on previous editions) and I know first hand what she's capable of.
Go to the Bursts of Light Kickstarter now, pledge your support, and get some great rewards!
